Pop Mart International Group Ltd. (9992.HK), is a chinese toy company that has positioned itself in the global marketplace as one of the fastest growing toy companies across the globe, setting off an international shopping frenzy this week with the release of its newest Labubu doll collection.

According to Bloomberg, the newest collection β€œPin For Love”, launched on August 28, 2025, has completely sold out within minutes across the United States, Japan, South Korea, and China, overwhelming the company’s online sales platforms.

The popularity of these rabbit-eared dolls has send shockwaves across the global markets. The recent waves of different series-launch have taken the world by storm, dominating social media with β€œLabubu Labubu” across TikTok and other social media platforms. The dolls are being sold through a blind-box approach, where customers purchase sealed boxes without knowing which specific doll they contain continues to drive both collector enthusiasm and a thriving resale market.

Standard edition mini Labubu dolls quickly sold out at pop-mart’s online store with a price of each at 79 yuan (approximately $11) in China. However, is it being sold at a higher price with a price tag of $22.99 in the U.S. market. The company also offered a larger premium version for 499 yuan (about $69) and a special Labubu-themed pendant.

Almost immediately, a robust secondary market emerged with resellers offering full 14-box sets for as much as 2,600 yuan (roughly $365)β€”more than double the original 1,106 yuan ($155) retail price. The two rarest special edition dolls quickly appeared on resale platform Dewu priced at 859 yuan ($120) each.

The spectacular market response contributed to Pop Mart’s impressive HK$433 billion (approximately $55.6 billion) market valuation. Company shares have surged an remarkable 260% this year following stronger-than-expected financial performance. The brand’s global expansion continues with particular success in Western markets where products command premium pricing.

Despite the high demand of these products, Pop Mart has been faced with significant challenges of emerging fake Labubu Dolls, with a recent report of Chinese customs officials confiscating hundreds of fake dolls.
