The National Secretariat of the All Peoples Congress (APC) has rescheduled its nationwide Ward Elections to Saturday, 14th February 2026.
According to a public notice issued by the party’s National Secretary General, Lansana Dumbuya Esq., the decision followed a “very constructive engagement” held on Friday, 6th February 2026. The meeting took place at the Conference Hall of the Political Parties Regulation Commission (PPRC) at Tower Hill in Freetown.
The Secretariat stated that only members who are fully up to date with their subscription payments as of 6th February 2026 will be captured on the Register of Eligible Voters.
It further directed that existing members who are yet to verify their membership must do so at their respective Wards, Constituencies, or Districts. The deadline for verification is 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, 10th February 2026. The party warned that verifications done after the deadline will not be processed. Affected members will not appear on the final voters’ register.
Members whose subscriptions have reached or exceeded one year but have outstanding arrears have also been advised to settle all payments. The deadline for payment is 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, 10th February 2026. The notice stressed that late payments will not be recognized for the Ward Elections.
On membership identification, the Secretariat instructed party structures to ensure the smooth distribution of APC Membership ID Cards. This, it said, is in line with Article 10(e) of the 2022 APC Constitution.
However, the party clarified that members whose names appear on the final register but do not have physical ID cards due to administrative challenges will still be allowed to vote. Their personal details and facial identity must match the coloured register at polling centres. They may also present a valid National Identity Card for verification.
The Secretariat also disclosed that hard copies of Ward Candidature Forms will be distributed through Regional Chairmen to District, Constituency, and Ward structures. Online submission of forms remains valid.
On payments, the APC encouraged aspirants to pay candidature fees through the party’s Orange Money merchant platform. Membership subscriptions can also be paid through the same digital platform. Alternatively, payments may be made through the party’s Rokel Commercial Bank account.
The Political Parties Regulation Commission (PPRC) has been formally notified.
The notice was signed and issued by Lansana Dumbuya Esq., National Secretary General of the APC.
